Jacob Petree “PETREE”
Jacob Petree started at Drew’s Diesel Repair in April of 2018. He is an ASE certified Technician with 7 year’s experience. In the shop he is our Cummins Diesel subject matter expert. From basic maintenance to complete engine swaps, Petrees ability and willingness to dive into the most arduous of tasks cater to his desire to challenge himself daily, further perfecting and strengthening his abilities abroad. While his strengths in Cummins specialty repair are evident, he is equally potent in his ability to translate those skills acquired onto Duramax, and Powerstroke diesel counterpart repair. On his time off, Petree is a devoted family man, and enjoys riding his side by side with his family on long distance trips.
Josh started with Drew’s Diesel Repair in July 2019. He is a retired Non-Commissioned Officer of the United States Army, serving four Combat Tours (3 to Afghanistan, 1 to Iraq). While he is fresh in the Diesel Repair niche, he brings to the table over a decade of automotive and motorcycle engine repair experience. The skills he earned while serving as a Non-Commissioned Officer brings to the table a level of leadership, accountability, and work ethic into the shop space. His ability to multi-task from head gasket repair to basic maintenance, while also managing the consumables inventory and parts stock, proves his role invaluable to the shops abilities to flow seamlessly from diag to repair, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction is met.
Prior to the opening of Drew's Diesel Repair in 2016, Andrew spent the first 12 years of his career mastering everything from small engine repair, to rebuilding trucks from the frame up. Starting early on in high school, his experience in small engine repair paved the way for him to be the service manager for a local motorcycle super-store, laying the groundwork for what was to come. Over the course of a decade working as a diesel and automotive technician, Andy quickly discovered the biggest challenge in this line of work is ACCURATELY diagnosing. Andy also holds nearly every ASE certification, expanding his knowledge into a realm of not just hands on experience, but the hard facts written by engineers, for technicians. Having this edge not only benefits himself, but the technicians in the shop are brought up to speed with industry's latest information, maximizing customer satisfaction. With customer satisfaction being the number one goal, he has set standards not only in the shop but in the industry by exercising his knowledge on some of the most complicated operating equipment to hit the streets. His industry know how and awareness lets him understand that these aren't just big diesel trucks, but the customers lively hood. Getting these trucks back to the customer with the correct diagnosis not only saves the customer money but insures that the job is done right and on time. When Andy isn't at the Repair Facility, you can find him at the lake with his Wife and four kids or exploring the back country on his off-road machines.
Jacob Caponata "Cappy"
After serving back to back tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Jacob joined the Drew's Diesel team in 2016 with hard earned skills in leadership, duty, respect, and integrity. Andy, the owner, has been a lifelong friend of Jacob. Having knowledge of Jacobs experience building Harley-Davidsons, Hot-Rods, and other custom vehicles, Andy invited Jacob to the team. From the Early IDI, to the latest model 6.7, Jake's expert level knowledge on the operating systems of all Ford Powerstroke generations have proven to be a valuable asset to the team and its ability to return to the customer, a vehicle in top operating condition. His ability to master the Ford Powerstroke line and its many nuances has also translated into being a muilti-generational Duramax subject matter expert, as well as being able to handle any job a Cummins equipped truck may require. His leadership skills, problem solving ability, and Can-Do attitude has solidified his presence, as one of Drew's Diesels premier Technicians. When Jacob isn't in the shop, he likes to spend time exploring the area with his girlfriend, spending time with family, and working in his home garage on multiple hot-rod projects. When the weather permits, he is also a well-practiced furniture maker, specializing in shaker style Amish furniture design.
